The Haircut

So, I finally caved and let Jamie give the little man a real haircut. She had just been doing a little trimming here and there - we finally decided it was getting out of control!
this is on our way to jamie's.... (a little bedhead...)
here jamie is explaining what is about to happen...
and the finished product! his ears are a little bigger... it's his big brother haircut - he's getting ready!

Just a few pics!

I don't know when this happened, but our baby went from being a baby to a little man. I have been a bit camera happy the past few weeks and just wanted to share a few of my favorites.
A few of the little man's favorite things now are:
1) brushing his teeth (this will keep him entertained for a good 45 min)
2) swiffering the floors (this is my favorite - we just have to work on strategy)
3) balls - he loves trying to say ball, grabbing, throwing, chasing - a bit obsessed
4) toilets - we need to break this favorite thing...
5) Maddie's water and food bowl - another lovely favorite

Uncle Brett's Farewell

We got to wish Uncle Brett off on his great European adventure this week! We are so excited to hear about all of his adventures & wish him the time of his life.
And along with Brett came Grandma, Grandpa and Jaci - we just love every minute that we get to spend with family!
We love you all!

Grandma & Grandpa T's 34th Anniversary!

We got to help Grandma and Grandpa T celebrate their 34th anniversary this weekend. Those crazy cats drove over for the day so we had a picnic in the park here we go....
we're here!
this kid could swing all day long
sliding
and walking.... what a day - time to head home

Now I Understand..

So, I've always been amazed that people take pictures of their children when they are a complete disaster. Why is this so cute? sweet? They are a mess, right? Well, Jack has helped me understand why mom's insist on taking pics of their dirty children. In my eyes it is precious and I think he's the sweetest thing ever. You want to mess that spaghetti sauce up in your hair? ok - that's fine - because he's my little Jackman. Anyway, for some I know it's weird, blogging about my spaghetti faced kid. But now that I'm a mom I guess I rank with one of those weirdos that thinks it's cute. So here he is.... The best was his hair - why he felt the need to run his tomato covered fingers through his curls I will never know.
you still love me right mom? my bib says grandma loves me (of course they do!)
hmmmm did i do something wrong?
notice Maddie taking her usual location during Jack's mealtime (I think this is the highlight of Maddie's day)
all shined up and ready to go!

I'm One & Walking!

It has been a big couple of weeks for the Jackman. He turned one, can say 'mom' (usually only when whining....) and learned to walk!!!! Here is a link to some of his first steps.

and some pics from his 3 birthday celebrations! (he is not spoiled at all...)
This is from his actual birthday which he got to spend with the Schlemme's and Grandma and Grandpa Tetzlaff - he loves his new Tonka truck!
This is how his birthday ended - I'm not sure who had a bigger day Jack or dad?
This weekend he got to celebrate with the Wulfekuhle's at Grandma and Grandpa's new house - someone is having a good time.
Happy birthday big boy it's been a big week - we all love you!

Happy 4th of July!

It was a beautiful and relaxing weekend at Grandma and Grandpa Tetzlaff's in the northwoods. We were all spoiled with boating, great food and family!
Here we go on our first boat ride of the season.
Jack loved helping Uncle Brian drive the boat - he was obsessed with the throttle (he is too little to know about driving fast, isn't he?)
This little man was spoiled with his Great Aunts Chris and Rene around - here's the little man in his new 4th of July outfit from Aunt Chris!
I'm not sure who is having more fun at the parade Jack or Grandma? It was a perfect morning!
Jack got to celebrate his birthday a little early - he really was not that interested in his cupcake...
We ended a perfect weekend at grandma and grandpa's with a Sunday morning boat ride to the Sunset Grill for breakfast. Here is Jack with his Auntie Tami.
