Marchin' for Baby Reese

So anyone that reads this blog knows about Reese. She is our beautiful niece (my brother's daughter) Though she's not really a baby anymore she will probably always be known as 'baby reese' at least when Jack is around her. He loves and obsesses over this little girl.

Reese was born with a tumor on her spinal cord and spent a few weeks in the NICU in Iowa City. Reese has been and continues to be quite a trooper through this all. There are a lot of unknowns which only time can tell. So, we are going to march for Reese and all babies born prematurely or with birth defects. The March of Dimes walk will be in Des Moines in a little over a week. When Daddy is Gone...

When Curt is gone... Lauren and I go shopping! It was our first mother daughter shopping day - the tradition MUST be passed on! Look how excited she is. Jack went to Jodi's and Curt was in Charlotte for work.

Then the Schlemme boys got to come over and play.

and Colin was hitting on the younger lady... he probably gets his moves from Travis (I hear he was quite the ladies' man)

Just another Tuesday morning

So Jack's morning goes a little like this.... mommy, mommy, mommy, wahwahwahwahwah, nuk, nuk, nuk, wahwahwahwah, milk, milk, dog, daddy? bye bye? daddy bye, bye? wahwahwahwah, Lorn (aka Lauren) lorn, no no dog no no dog no no dog.... poor little Lauren just lays and takes this all in until Jackson thinks he needs to teach her how to play (I think he likes this more than she does) So they play...

So the old saying goes, 'a picture is worth a thousand words'.

I think that is all that needs to be said.

Easter Weekend

We got to spend our Easter with Grandma & Grandpa Tetzlaff, Aunt Tami and the Schlemme's this weekend.

Let the easter egg hunt begin....! The boys and Maddie had a blast collecting eggs and filling their bellies with goodies and dirt... Jack and Elijah left with grass stained knees and Elijah left with a scraped hand and cheek - it was an intense hunt!

we've gotten lots of outside time this week - it's been great!

I hope they are always this great of friends :-) It melts my heart to watch Lauren smile at Jackson when he gives her hugs and kisses. He absolutely loves his little sister.

Why we love Grandma T

Being Grandma T's birthday week I thought I'd do a top 5 reasons we love her!

5. She has a song to sing for anything and everything.

4. I have never seen anyone get so excited to give the kids baths!

3. She has a way to put her creative touch on everything.

2. We always know that after being up north for the weekend we will not come home hungry.

1. Her heart is huge and we are so lucky to be in it!
