Merry Christmas

Our Christmas celebrations began on Monday morning for our family. We put a request in this weekend with Eddie our Elf & asked Santa to come early since we'd be gone on Christmas morning. Eddie was such a great helper and said Santa would be more than happy to come. We had a nice morning just hanging out. Do you think Jackson was excited for his Iron Man Nerf gun? (not sure mom is too excited about this one!)

Lauren and her doll house

And little Elaina had her daddy and a toothbrush to snuggle with - she was happy :)

Then we headed to Grandma and Grandpa T's to celebrate  - we went to church

then came home and celebrated. Our kids are spoiled :)

Aunt Tami and Uncle Steve tested out our kids...

this little one has been mommy's girl this week - I'm not going to lie I'm loving all of the snuggles :)

Merry Christmas!

Christmas is coming, Christmas is coming!!!

The kids are so excited and had so much fun decorating and lighting the trees last night.

This guy flew in last night - welcome back Eddie!

and then we had the most beautiful hour of snowfall today and I thought to myself... ahhhh I'm going to get a sweet Christmas picture of the kids - bribery worked perfectly on these two... but little Miss Elaina was a puddle of tears and tantrums... so no go on that idea!

Happy Monday!

A picture is worth a thousand words

A picture is worth a thousand words & these pics sum up the Tetzlaff kids' personalities right now.

'Sweet Elaina' - her smile and snuggles will melt your heart and take away any of life's worries.

'Miss Lauren' - look at those eyes you can see her mind working, plotting her next move (should I make a joke, should I run over and snuggle with mom and tell her I love her, or should I take a stick and smack my brother in the back, tough decisions for a 3 year old to make)  Uncle Brett calls her 'The Sour Patch Kid' - and I have to say that is the perfect description of her personality right now.
PS - Curt's favorite candy are Sour Patch Kids.... and yes Miss Lauren has him wrapped around his finger - coincidence? I think Curt may have also been a 'sour patch kid' himself... (Grandma Jackie would need to confirm this...)

Our 'Jack-man' happy, go lucky, curious & always wanting to learn - his favorite line right now is 'of course...' Then there is the wild, silly boy that comes out and can not be controlled!

Happy Fall!

This is the day...

the Lord has made let us rejoice and be glad in it.

The sun just came out & is peeking through the trees so beautifully, the birds are squawking overhead, Jackson & Lauren have been playing dr. all morning & sweet little E is enjoying spending some time with her Sesame Street buddies this morning. And I can't help but be thankful for this day the Lord has blessed us with.

October has been filled with good stuff:

I got 36 hours to myself (white washing the fireplace) while the kids visited Grandma & Grandpa T & Curt was in Vegas

they got to pop in and visit Uncle Brian at work

we took a weekend trip to Iowa to harvest & get mommy's fill of home - there is something special about fall in Iowa that I just love - the kiddos and Curtis love it too

Revel Bars & dirt - this girl is loving life!

we of course had to pop in and get a tour of the newest hog building - Jackson did good (he has a slight fear of pigs... when I say 'slight' I actually mean 'severe' but it's getting much better!)

and we were so lucky to have Aunt Janet around to visit too!

Curt & I got to sneak away for a night to celebrate Aaron & Laura's wedding in Bayfield, WI (thank you Grandma & Grandpa T for watching the kiddos)

we enjoyed the fall colors on the way up... and enjoyed the first snow fall on the way home!

we did lots of cleaning last week at our Richfield house between tenants - these two were great helpers (insert sarcasm...)

we said goodbye to some dear friends the Marolt's who were swept away to the beautiful city of Seattle.

This little girl has a wonderful virus called - hand, foot, mouth - sounds awful and gross... and it kind of is - luckily her face didn't get attacked by sores, she's on the mend & happy as long as she has her baby dolls & her 'shows' (Elaina's favorite line is 'I want to watch a show' - though Curt & I may be the only ones that can interpret that)

We had a very exciting afternoon yesterday watching a shed get moved - lots of entertainment out here in 'the sticks' :)

Hope you are all enjoying this beautiful day too!
