A New Look

So this has been a personal blog and I've been less than on top of my AMD blog. So, they're combining - a new year, a new look! I'm hoping with just one I will stay on top of it all :)

So, I've been busy busy working on spring product. I just got back from the printer and am in love with my floral photos from our family vacation to Buchart Gardens last spring. I keep looking at the photos over and over because they're so full of color and life in this less than colorful time in Minnesota... It's a little glimpse into the future when the snow melts and the flowers come back to visit!

A perfect Valentine's

We had a perfect Valentine's Day 'family style'. It was started with flowers & wine. Then was followed with dinner cooked by... Curtis! It included scallops, lobster tail & ice cream sandwiches - perfect!

dear winter

It is time for you to go away... I've been baking. There is something about winter and a warm oven with yummy smells wafting (not sure if that's a word but... you know what I mean) through the house. And what did I come across today? A recipe for brownie covered oreos - really what could be better? Two of my favorites, just have to make sure there is a big glass of milk to go along. May have to make them this weekend!
We are having a family weekend at home and celebrating Curt's birthday with sushi downtown on Saturday (Michele is watching the kids - she is the best!) Happy weekend to all :)

A First..

Today Jack had his first 'crush'. She was a brunette 4 year old that wanted him to chase her... and chase her he did for 20 minutes around the Eden Prairie Mall playground. They climbed, and ran, and hid and stared into each others eyes... until she ran to her mom saying 'this boy keeps following me'... but then they were off again this time quacking like ducks (don't ask me why). I watched from afar laughing inside that this may be Jackson's first crush and how cute it was. Then she had to leave and the look on his face as she left was priceless - my heart broke for him as his friend had to leave and he didn't understand why - they were having so much fun! But then she came back... yes to say goodbye and to let him know, "my mom is making me leave - bye". He stood at the playground entrance and watched as she walked away.
Oh how I wish I would have taken a picture of them playing and Jack's face as she walked away.
As we were driving home I remember Jackie telling me stories of Curt chasing little girls at the swimming pool and kissing on them... will Jack be carrying on the Tetzlaff men's moves?
Yikes - This could be an adventurous ride!
