brilliant!

Emily & I did a photo session swap on Saturday and all I can say is that it was a brilliant idea! Why I have never thought of this before I don't know. We dressed up our families & met up for a quick photo session (45 minutes, 2 families, 1 little girl who wanted nothing to do with having her photo taken & some rain) It was nothing but efficient - I seriously can not believe Emily got some nice pics of our family - she's good!

They have a family blog too & their family was picture perfect - you'd think they did modeling for Family Fun magazine or something... you say stand here and they smile on cue - seriously all 3 children and dad did too - I think Emily bribed them.... hmmmm

and my little miss Lauren - oh how we love you sweet little girl :)

Paint Fumes

Where have we been? The paint fumes are overtaking our household I think...

Curt mentioned 'hanging up the clubs for the season...' what? Jackson has been having dreams of Elaina turning into a pickle...

Elaina is getting crazier by the day - I really think she can pull off Richard Simmons for Halloween - what do you think? I know not her best picture...

and Lauren has been my painting sidekick... I think it's hit her the hardest:
Our late night painting conversation went like this:

Lauren: "Mom I have an 80 month old sister you know... and a baby in my tummy"
Mom: "oh, ok"
Lauren: "then I got a hole in my foot"
Mom: "oh"
Lauren: "Paper fans are cool. Do you like fans? Are you good at fans? Want a fan? You have to share your fan." (someone taught her how to fold fans... and she has gone through a bit of a paper fan folding obsession thing...)
Lauren: "My friend Cada drives me to her house and I lived there for 6 days because my mom wanted me to."
Mom: "I didn't want you to live there?"
Lauren: "I know, did u know I can drive?"
Mom: "No, I did not know you can drive."
Lauren: "I saw a cow but I did not run over her because she was nice and a girl."
Mom: "Oh that's good, that would hurt your car if you hit a cow"
Lauren: "Mom, I have 2 sisters they are 89 and I'm 89"
Mom: "Oh, so you are triplets?"
Lauren: "No we are Packer fans"

I did more laughing and writing down what she was saying than painting but we had fun! Then she insisted on having her picture taken.

Hopefully this weekend we will be done and we can get on with our next house project...
Mission: Destroy the Fern Forest

And the debate continues - to white wash the fireplace or to not whitewash the fireplace -
who will win? taking votes now!

Happy Friday,
