Trick or Treat

So, I have learned costumes go on right before leaving... I don't know how many times Lauren undressed herself as I turned my back to do something.... but we got a picture as we were walking out the door. Yes, this is her new smile 'cheeeeeeese' I'm not sure why anyone ever thought 'cheese' should be the word for smile, because it doesn't necessarily make anyone smile but make this goofy face instead. Whatever.

Jack wasn't much into getting 'dressed' up for Halloween. Last week when I asked him what he'd like to be he informed me he'd like to be 'Halloween Jack' and what does that look like I asked? 'It looks just like me now.' He didn't want anything to do with capes or extravagant costumes.. So a rocker he was. Though after tonight I'm pretty sure he will dress up however I want him to, because he was in absolute heaven running door to door getting candy at every stop. His bucket was overflowing by the time we were finished. (I think I may have to throw 3/4 of the candy away in a day or two - after I pick out all of the Reese's peanut butter cups, Whoppers & Almond Joys of course!)

And this was the best picture I could muster up of my two rockers. They were pretty pumped to head out & they did great. Lauren was daddy's girl all night (I'm pretty sure because they lagged behind and snuck into the candy early) And Jack was Kaleb's buddy leading the pack from door to door.

And I managed to get a photo of me and my princess!

Happy Halloween!

Thinking Pink

Well it didn't take long to open up that little envelope on our fridge and it's time for the Tetzlaff's to starting thinking pink! I honestly did not care one bit whether this little babe is a boy or a girl, but I have to say I'm excited for Lauren to have a sister. Though I fear the ages of 12 - 18 and maybe a little after 18 too... but I am excited for the journey!

So I did a little 'etsy' window shopping this afternoon and had to post these for crafting inspiration!

I think I can manage this flower without a sewing machine!

love this print for her room...

I love how delicate this hand dyed cheesecloth wrap is - sounds like a messy project - might be better off spending the $10...

and I found this which I think is just adorable - I have a few old children's books I found at a garage sale & thought I would one day need... now I think I know why I needed them :) And Curt never understands why I have some of things I do (sometimes it just can't be explained!)

And of course I love the idea of the monthly onesie!

So it looks like Curt & Jackson will be soon outnumbered.. sorry boys!

A Happy Friday!

Today we had our 20 week (doesn't it seem like I've been pregnant WAY longer than this?!) ultrasound to make sure baby is happy and healthy. And baby is indeed doing great :) So the question is 'is it a boy or a girl?' the answer is sealed tightly in this envelope - hanging on our refrigerator. How long will we be able to wait?

So for now this is all I have to offer (not even any 3d this time) This is a profile pic of the little one if you can't tell...

So, I had to go back and find pics of Jackson and Lauren when they were born & I am so excited to meet the new addition to our family in March :)

Here is our little man...

and our little lady...

Both beautiful & precious & I am overwhelmed with joy to have gotten to see just a little picture of #3 growing happily today. We are all so excited to meet you little one!

Kicking off Halloween

So I have to say Halloween is not necessarily my favorite holiday... not sure why, I just don't get too excited for it. And coming up with outfits for the kids just seems like another chore - I still don't have them yet :( I have ideas but we still have to get out and put them together! But today I have to admit it was fun to see the kids get sooo excited to paint their pumpkins. We picked them out earlier this week at the store & Jack has been asking daily when he gets to paint them - today was the day!

As soon as he got up from his nap we had to go 'set up' our work station. You can just see the anticipation and excitement coming out of him in this picture.

We had to be patient and wait for Lauren to wake up. And when she did she was just as excited! Maybe this holiday isn't so bad.

After awhile I decided I would just let them paint away. They were being so good and having so much fun together I thought I'd go in and start supper... and I came back to this. I was informed by Jack that he and Lauren really liked the way it looks when they pour it on and use their hands. I'm a bit of a sucker when it comes to this sort of playing - I just love their innocence and exploration - though messy - I love it!

I think Lauren is wondering if she's going to get in trouble... yes, these days she is usually getting in trouble!

I sure hope the 'washable' paint is washable - happy early Halloween!

A Friday morning note

What have we been up to for the past 3 weeks? Packing & moving & cleaning & unpacking & more cleaning & my children have been doing a lot of this...

They have been amazing with the transition to our new 'temporary' home & I am so so thankful! Not much of an update on the house situation - we could use some extra prayers for getting our home sold & for the woman trying to buy our home that she is able to get her financing in line so she and her boys can move in & it can finally be closed on. It's been taking a lot of patience for Curt & I but we know everything will work out like it's supposed to - we of course would just like it to work out soon!

In the meantime the kiddos and I are working away this morning - in my new office - have I mentioned how excited I am to have an office? I know I have many many times!! But the kids are my #1 helpers and amazing. I am really supposed to be working now, so - Happy Friday!
