Love, Elaina

Hi. It's me Elaina. I'm getting teeth this week & it's no fun. I cry a lot and just want my mom to hold me. It's kind of funny to watch my mom try to make me happy. You'd think she'd have it figured out by now (I am the third baby you know) sometimes I think she's a rookie at this. Anyway, she says I have to try and rest my sleepy eyes now - ha, right mom!

Announcing....

No, not baby #4... but I think we have FINALLY found a place to call home!! aaaahhhhhh a sigh of relief.... as long as everything falls into place during the closing process - we should be able to call this little acreage south of Minneapolis ours! The last 2 years have been quite an adventure through the ups and downs of selling, buying, renting, moving, moving again... yadayada. But Curt & I were both so excited when we saw this place - we knew this is what we'd been looking for!

Here are a few sneak peeks. A walkout rambler situated on 2.5 acres of woods and a little creek in the back.

welcome

this is a little corner for you to sit in, sip on a cup of coffee or glass of wine while I cook for you!!

and a peek of the basement

The plan is to be closed by the middle of May and moved by the end of May - lets keep our fingers crossed!

lately

Since I know that if you're reading our blog you probably would rather see pictures of the kids, than pictures of Curt & me :) So here is what the Tetzlaff kids have been up to lately.

First of all I got a new camera, a new haircut & Elaina would love to permanently be attached to my right hip if I would allow her :)

Elaina has this funky hair thing going on - it's cute and curly out of the tub, it's wispy and weird once it dries & she's still bald on the sides above her ears... poor girl - she refuses the headband which cures all problems - but refuses. She turns it into either a necklace or an eye patch instantly. She is also sporting the vampire teeth - can't see it here, but this look will soon pass :)

her brother can not keep his hands off of her... he's always trying to make her laugh

and keep her happy - he's a good big brother!

Lauren is funny - this is a typical Lauren face. She's very serious these days.

The kids have been loving playing out in the snow. They are typically 'making pizzas'

and Elaina sits and wishes she was out there playing too, but it's not my favorite so she gets to stay and hang out with mom :)

and that's what we've been up to lately, just doing life :)

6 years...

I have been married to this guy...

for 6 years. We decided that deserved a little getaway - so we went to the beautiful city of Savannah, GA. Curt really, really, really wanted to golf (did I emphasize that enough?)

I really, really, really wanted to sit in a warm park, relax, read, think, write, take photos...

I think this bird is shivering... can you tell? Anyway, it was cold so our trip wasn't exactly what we had planned. But it was still wonderful. Curt got to golf one day & swung his clubs around in our beautiful room every other chance he got :) I ran on the cold beach to stay warm & sat by the fireplace and relaxed - so it all worked out!

We stayed at 'The Gastonian' a wonderful bed and breakfast.

We would walk up and down into this beautiful old mansion and pretend we were going to a special party in the late 1800's.

The historic district of the city has all been restored to the original look and feel. The city is built around parks & everything has so much character. We spent most of our time (when we weren't golfing, thinking about golfing or relaxing) walking & walking some more, taking photos, enjoying the old beauty & dining at some wonderful restaurants.

Happy belated anniversary Curtis!
