September's been fun this is what we've been up to: 

art day

Mommy and Elaina just sat and watched

we went on a couple of field trips

snuggled with Aunt Tami

happy hour with daddy

watched the model trains

and puppy races

date night... being a townie drinking wine and watching the trains go by

walks and little wagon rides

a road trip to Iowa to meet Elsey Gavle

and combine with Papa Al

celebrating Angie's wedding

and play dates!

simply beautiful

For us fall is not complete until we take a trip to an apple orchard. And this morning was the picture perfect fall day in Minnesota. The drive out to this small family apple orchard in Waconia will make anyone want to move out to the beautiful country side - picturesque. We had the orchard to ourselves (after the 4 buses of preschoolers left) that combined with a beautiful day, good friends & a warm cup of coffee makes for a truly happy & blessed mama!

Not only was mama happy out there today - these three kids were enjoying every moment running wild and free soaking up the morning sun!

7 months of Elaina

10 on 10 (an attempt)

So this is more like '8 on 10'... but an attempt to capture a moment in our day on every hour.

 

 

7:00 - trying to wake up

8:00 - playing chauffeur taking jackson to school

9:00 - MUST run

10:00 - oops.... I was running

11:00 - patiently waiting for Jack to finish school (yes I bribe Lauren with suckers - caught)

12:00 - it's apple crisp season (ps - don't try a healthy version of apple crisp - stick with the lots of butter and brown sugar versions!)

1:00 - getting excited for MOPs to start next week

2:00 - oops I'm sure since the kids were napping I was doing something very important - yes of course very important

3:00 - Sleeper #1 awakes & decides to paint apples 

4:00 - time to play with sweet little Elaina

So the day finally came - Jackson's first day of school with his teacher Mrs Esterberg. Dad took him school shopping and they even picked out a 'first day of school' shirt, doesn't he look handsome?!

Goodbye Summer...

It's been fun but someone starts school in the morning and can NOT wait!

We had to have a little ice cream and wait for the trains one last time.
