One of my favorite things to do is have a nice cup of coffee with a good friend. The clock said 5:30 & I was tired of trying to get Elaina back to sleep after her 4:30 breakfast - so decided we might as well enjoy some coffee together. Just look at those little toes - don't you just want to eat them up! I do eat them up - all day long - is that a little weird nibbling on toes?... they're just so stinkin' cute!
So, I love reading what other people feed their families & sometimes feel like I waste way too much time thinking about food & cooking food (I know my mom is probably thinking - where did my daughter come from) Guess I have a little of Grandma Wulfekuhle's blood in me :) So I thought I'd share a few of my current food obsessions & hoping you'll share yours!
For the past couple of months I've been OBSESSED, OBSESSED with these two recipes (first the granola bars) I go through a pan every week. I make them on Monday and they are gone by Friday - ps I'm the only one who eats them... good thing they're healthy except I should really see how many nuts one should consume/ day - I may be exceeding the recommended daily allowance.
And Amanda got me hooked on this salsa. Actually Jack, Lauren & Curtis are hooked on this - I just like making it for them (I take that back - Jack & Lauren like making this - there is something about the food processor - they love pushing the buttons & watching it chop chop). Again, we make it weekly. Since eating at Chili's really isn't that much fun these days we just sit in the living room on the floor in front of the tv and enjoy some good ol' chips and salsa together when dad gets home from work.
And this week I've made this coleslaw and bread - both of which are going to be new 'obsessions' so so so yummy.
