everyday

Snapshots of every life with Jack and Lauren.

Watch out world Jack and Lauren have officially been introduced to Caribou - their first 'hot cocoa' - definitely a hit :) I mean really who doesn't like Caribou?

potty training - (this was NOT my idea.. but my independent little Lauren's idea..) she is doing pretty good - we just spend a lot of time sitting in the bathroom these days :)

Last week was the dentist - note there are no pics of Lauren at her first dentist appointment. She did just fine & was definitely more excited about the toy basket & new toothbrush. Afterwards we discovered a little clepto in the car - JT revealed he took '2 toys, instead of 1 like he was supposed to' - so we had to go back apologize and return the goods - lesson learned? I sure hope so! ps - like the cool shades they get to wear?

after the dentist.. we grabbed a bag of powdered donuts and sat at - guess - yeap Caribou

On Lauren's birthday I told her she should decorate her own birthday cupcakes (does that make me a bad mom? is it worse that I made her an angel food cake - my favorite - but the kids and I dug in and ate it before we had the chance to frost it or sing happy birthday to her? definitely not mom of the year worthy!)

then it was off to Edinborough to let the kids (and dad) run off some energy!

Happy Thursday all!

Happy Birthday Lauren!

Our little Lauren (precious, pumpkin, sweetie, LK, sassy girl) turned 2 on the 12th & we celebrated this weekend! Someone does not like having her picture taken.

But she loves opening presents...

and cake...

and she loves all of her family that came to celebrate with her & who were thinking of her on her birthday! Happy Birthday Lauren we love you!

Dear Baby,

Can you believe you've been hanging out and growing for 32 weeks? I have to tell you your dad and I are getting so excited to meet you! I will be honest and tell you we may be a little nervous about adding a third little Tetzlaff to the mix. But we know you are going to fill our hearts and home with even more love and joy than we already have. Your brother and sister love on you constantly so I can't wait to see how much they love on you when you arrive. They will probably drive you crazy some days (that's ok because I have those days too) but if your personality is anything like this pregnancy has been so far I'm predicting that you are going to be a very laid back, easy going, happy little girl! I just ask that you keep this up for the next 8 weeks & we will meet soon!

Lots of love, Mom

Just some stuff...

I've been asking myself what have I been doing since we got home from New Year's? It's been 13 days and really I haven't accomplished much. Not even a couple blog posts... Is the house clean? no. Was I working on getting year end numbers & taxes finished? no. I'm not sure where the last couple of weeks have gone but they have gone and fast. I haven't touched my office except to send out a couple of after holiday orders - I should take a picture - you'd be appalled... Thank goodness it is not a room we have to walk by often & Curt has been really good about not commenting on the fact it looks like a tornado has gone through that room...

When I think about it we have been detoxing.. majorly like I don't know who's kids we brought home after Christmas - I love them don't get me wrong, but I don't know where they came from - really. But we're on the mend & we're having so much fun playing with all of our new toys

'say cheese Lauren!'

Playing dress up - yes... Jack is dressed up too -
I think he's going to be a great big brother to his little sisters!

The kitchen has been bitter sweet - lots of giggles and lots of tears - the red and white glove (that Jack is wearing is the cause of many fights!)

The bow and arrow has been a hit - we have targets randomly on the walls. Curt and Jack like to hide in the jungle (aka the chair) and behind walls sneaking up on different targets - I just love seeing the inner child of Curt coming out. I mean we all know that Curt is a kid at heart but it is so fun to watch him and Jack play together!

Lauren is learning to sleep in a big girl bed. It started out great (for a couple days) Now she insists on pulling everything out of her drawers and piling them in bed with her, with the lights on, then goes to sleep. The last few nights she hasn't stopped partying in her room until 10:30 - we're about to take down the lights so she can't turn them on. She doesn't cry much - just plays.. any recommendations? we're open!

Jack has been practicing changing diapers - weird? maybe a little. But he told us he was practicing for when his little sister gets here - he had the scotch tape out and everything! He is very excited for another little sister - I hope he is that excited when she actually arrives!

We spent a lot of time soaking up the warm weather earlier this week. We love watching our neighbor's chickens.

Maddie found a mud puddle and was in heaven - who would think January puddle jumping?!

That's all for now - Happy Saturday!

Christmas Part 3

And Christmas Part 3... (2 weeks late) involved a lot of present opening.

Next year Cade you can hang with the older kids!

snuggle time

and lots of play time - Papa's new white board was quite the hit!
I just love the girls dress up clothes - too sweet!

and here is a picture of Baby #3 and my shadow - Maddie (everywhere I go Maddie goes with me)... I'm not sure if she is sad or excited for #3 to get here... but she definitely knows she will be coming!

We had a wonderful Christmas & have been detoxing for the past 2 weeks. Thank you Grandmas and Grandpas for making our holidays so memorable and special we love spending time with all of our family!
